New Collection of colourful silk BANDHANI Kurtas, Tunics, Dupattas, Stoles and Sarees. Bandhani is a resist dye technique that involves creating a dot pattern on fabric. Dots are tied in a predetermined pattern before dyeing the fabric, to resist the dye from penetrating the dyed areas.

Bandhanis are considered auspicious and used in marriages and festive occasions. An intricate Bandhani can take over 6/8 months to tie before dyeing which requires great patience and skill.

What's New

We at BANDHEJ believe craftsmanship is a luxurious fusion of creativity and hand-skills.

BANDHEJ was established by Archana Shah in 1985, with a vision to uphold, preserve and sustain the precious hand skills and inherent knowledge of the indigenous artisans when it comes to handloom clothes through collaborative design interventions. Over the years, BANDHEJ has created a distinct and unique identity for itself, offering a range of eco friendly, handmade fashion clothing with a specialisation in bandhani clothes for women which have an understated elegance & reflect tradition, innovation, simplicity and sophistication.

Bandhej is a label for a multicultural woman; looking for eclectic apparel that marries her love for indigenous handmade clothes to her contemporary lifestyle & complements her strong sense of self and style. We offer a range fashion clothing, with a very Eastern sensibility in a range of Tunic Pants, Kurtas, Kurtis, Kaftans, flowing Skirts and Ghagharas, Stoles, Dupattas and Saris.
